Nashville, Tennessee is famous for being the home of country music. The renowned Ryman Auditorium was for many years the home of the Grand Ole Opry which saw stars launch their career on its stage. The Green Hills Neighborhood
Green Hills is a typical development of its time. It has been designed for automobile and not pedestrian traffic. The homes originally consisted primarily of brick-veneer “ranch” style houses on large lots. In more recent years there has been considerable variation in the architectural style resulting in homes that cover the range of prices up to the high-end mansions. The plantation theme homes are a stand-out. There are a variety of lots sizes and home styles that fit on large lots leaving a marvelous opportunity for lush landscaping. Green Hills is considered to be the place to live in Nashville. It is also considered to be a prestigious location with homes built between the 1940s and the 1960s. They are all very well maintained and most have undergone updating to bring them into the modern era.

Green Hills Schools
Hillsboro High School actually predates much of the neighborhood, but it is very prestigious nonetheless. Another public educational institution is Julia Green Elementary School which is a primary school. A renowned private educational institution is Lipscomb University. Green Hills also has two of Nashville’s best preparatory schools; Montgomery Bell Academy and St. Cecilia Academy. Montgomery Bell Academy is a boys’ college prep school for grades 7-12, and it is Middle Tennessee’s only all boys’ school. This school regularly produces National Merit Scholars. St. Cecilia Academy is an all-girls, Catholic preparatory high school that prepares some of Nashville’s brightest young women for a brilliant college education and a great career.
