Forest Hills is a small residential community that can be found along the northern border of Williamson County in southwest Davidson County in Tennessee. The Forest Hills community was first established in 1957 and it spans over 9.47 square miles. As of the year 2000, the city of Forest Hills had a population of 4,710 residents.

The location of Forest Hills was first developed as a subdivision in Nashville following the second World War and the rise of the nation’s economy and population. The area is made up of steep wooded hills that were at one time a bountiful forest up until the early 20th century when modern residential development took over the area. Since the early 1970’s there have been several homes built in Forest Hills.
