We’re gearing up to celebrate Thanksgiving at the Armstrong Real Estate office. Preparing expectantly for a week of family, friends and (lots) of food. Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be behind us with Christmas fast approaching. 1. Dickens of a Christmas in Downtown Franklin

December 12 / 10:00 AM – December 13 / 5:00 PM

Celebrate the 31st anniversary of this festive Main Street celebration with time-honored activities and new traditions, franklin vendors, food and all kinds of holiday festivities. The Victorian architecture will be decked out with nearly two hundred characters, dancers and entertainers roaming the streets. You could even find yourself chatting with Tiny Tim Cratchit or bumping into Ebenezer Scrooge.

2. The Lights & ICE at Gaylord Opryland Resort

November 20 – January 2, 2016

At ICE you’ll roam room after room filled with more than two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures including four ice slides and a live carving zone. The theme this year is The Nutcracker with live Tchaikovsky score playing throughout the experience. You can even pair ICE with Opryland Hotel Christmas Lights, a totally free experience that shines all on its own. Over two million dazzling Christmas lights will shimmer throughout the resort.

3. The Dancing Lights of Christmas at Jellystone

Nov. 6, 2015 – Jan. 3, 2016 / 5 – 10 PM

For $25 per vehicle, you can enjoy an evening driving through a display with hundreds of thousands of LED lights moving to music that flows through your car radio. Once you’ve driven through the display, pay a visit to Santa’s Village where the kids can enjoy pony rides, a spider jump, unlimited inflatables, and even take pictures with Santa himself.

4. Porter Flea Holiday Market

Saturday, December 5th / 10 AM -5 PM

The holidays are a great time to shop small, charming your friends and family with the very best handmade gifts and helping them discover and fall in love with local businesses. This year’s holiday market is the tenth (X), and to celebrate they are featuring collaborations from some of Nashville’s most popular designers in addition to moving the market back to East Nashville where Porter Flea originated!

5. Holiday at Cheekwood

Check Cheekwood’s holiday calendar for a full month of programming with unique events for the whole family. Make a trip out for a holiday concert, take the kids for an afternoon to enjoy cookie decorating, gingerbread workshops and art activities. Looking for a little holiday magic? Live reindeer can be found in the park every day during the holiday.
