Memorial Day Weekend Activities in Nashville!

Three day weekend here we come! Memorial Day weekend is an eventful three days in Nashville, Tennessee. With a great deal of history to explore, music to hear and events to attend, there’s no excuse to not be out on the town!

Historical Sites

Due to the nature of this holiday, it’s a great time for exploring our city’s history and past. We suggest you check out the War Memorial Auditorium, built as a tribute to the Tennesseans we lost in World War I, with a plaza dedicated to those lost in the Vietnam War and the Korean War. (It is now a great place to catch live music shows as well!) The Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, 10-acres of state park located in downtown Nashville, is home to Nashville’s largest World War II memorial, and another great site to see. Conveniently close to Germantown, grab a coffee at The Red Bicycle and head over to explore.

Fort Negley, the largest inland fort built in the United States during the Civil War, is a historic Nashville landmark open to all visitors for free. The Battle of Franklin Trust houses the Carter House and the Carnton Plantation, both significant landmarks in the Civil War.
