Located right near bustling Hillsboro Village, the Belmont area has a lot to offer. Belmont is home to Belmont University and the Belmont Mansion, which is a large museum that could take a whole day to explore. After checking out the university and museum, you’re just a short walk to desirable restaurants, bars, and shopping options.
The Belmont area has dining options for all tastes. You can stop in at PM for delicious appetizers, sushi and drinks. If sushi isn’t what you’re craving, you can’t go wrong with Martin’s BBQ Joint–where award winning whole hog BBQ is served up on the daily. There’s also premium Mexican and Pan-Latin dishes served hot at Chago’s Cantina, right next door to PM. Other great dining options include Blvd Nashville, International Market & Restaurant and Kalamata – to name a few. After grabbing a bite to eat, Bongo Java is a must for that post-dinner pick-me-up. Bongo Java is Nashville’s oldest and most celebrated coffeehouse- a true Music City staple.
If you want unique clothing with a Nashville flair, Local Honey is the boutique you’re looking for. Located just off of Belmont University’s campus next door to Bongo Java, Local Honey is home to men’s and women’s vintage clothing as well as local designers (pro tip: you can also book an appointment with one of their hair stylists right up the stairs). On the other hand, if you’re looking to outfit your new Belmont bungalow with the best in contemporary furniture, stop in at Nouveau Classics where you’ll find some of the most beautiful home decorations and furnishings.
Looking to make Belmont home? You can find large, historic four-squares along the boulevard, with moderately priced bungalows throughout the area as well. There are additionally apartment complexes that offer a more affordable living situation, such as the Sterling Court Apartments right next to some of the best eats in the area. The wide, sprawling sidewalks are a huge draw to walkers, bikers and joggers. The beautiful, lengthy walkways that stay well shaded are great for a leisurely walk to the nearby restaurants and boutiques or for that after work run.

I don’t know if Belmont can properly be called its own neighborhood, it’s so small! But it’s definitely getting a lot more interesting things, especially eaterlies, lately. There’s a new bagel restaurant there that’s supposed to be divine!
