Spring is in the air! (Or at least on the way.) We may not have control over how quickly we leave the winter season behind, but we can usher spring in with some seasonal flair and love in our homes.
Here are 5 great and easy projects to brighten up your living space and start the countdown to warmer weather!
1.) Spring Clean
We tend to hibernate during the winter, let less light in and do less cleaning. They don’t call it a Spring Clean for nothing! Commit to a deep clean. Get rid of things you may be holding onto but don’t need. Clean the areas of your house you haven’t reached in a while. Then maybe get the windows and the gutters if you’re feeling ambitious. 2.) Brighten Your Accessories
You may not be able to switch out furniture, but you can change outdoor mats, smaller rugs, and throw pillows with the season. Or pick up some inexpensive vases or table lamps that feel light and Springy. Then easily store them for next year!
3.) Flowers, Flowers, Flowers
The best part of spring is the flowers start blooming! Bring them into your home. Dress any dining room or coffee table up with a fresh bouquet in a mason jar or one of your favorite seasonal vases. 4.) Embrace Natural Light
As often as you can, open the windows and let the fresh air and natural light in. Still too cold to open the windows? Switch out thicker curtains for something light and breezy that lets the sunshine through. Soak it up!
5.) Happy Hooks
Take all of those heavy winter coats and boots and put them in the closet or in storage. These items can be bulky and take up valuable space. Free up your hook space in the hallway for things like your umbrella, rain boots and spring windbreakers. You’ll need them come April!
