Antioch, TN Real Estate Guide
Named after the eponymous historic city in Turkey, this Tennessee town is a suburb on the outskirts of the greater Nashville metropolitan area. Prior to explosive growth in the 1970’s, Antioch was a farming community with a number of mills. The town now enjoys the amenities of being close to Nashville while also being near to the beautiful Tennessee country side. A local economy driven primarily by retail, education, and public health resources has secured a comfortable middle class way of life to the area with low unemployment.
Antioch Real Estate
Small families find this area attractive due to its charming real estate and local amenities. Most of the houses in the town feature three to four bedrooms though there is a plentiful selection of smaller homes that will have only one. Owing mostly to its rural past, very few homes were built before 1950, so recent and modern architecture can be enjoyed in most of the area. Antioch’s middle-class population has made this a region where more than half the residents own their own home and has kept property values relatively stable.
